TRAINING CHOICES

CHEER-4-FUN

Anyone can do this, it includes learning routines for the rink, parades and carnivals. Training is 1 hours per week. Cheerleaders do not have to attend fundraising events except by choice.

CHAMPIONSHIPS SQUAD

This is for the girls and boys who show a dedication to the squad and/or MKL and wish to compete and who reach the standard. These Cheerleaders train twice a week. This squad will enter competitions at Novice category and have the opportunity to progress to MK Elite. Fundraising is required to be completed to ensure the cheerleader attends free. It is recommended a minimum of up to 2 events per month.

MK ELITE

These girls and boys and 110% dedicated to the squad and train twice a week for up to 6 hours. This is the squad now compete internationally. These cheerleaders shall enter competitions at Intermediate or advanced level. Fundraising is required at a minimum of 3 per month. Their first competition was at the Elite Cheerleading Beach Cup 2007, held at the My Tropical Island Theme Park near Berlin on 20th January 07. They then went to compete at the Americheer International Championships in Disneyland Florida with their IGC Diamonds Elite Junior Squad bringing 7 firsts and a 4th back to Milton Keynes. Next year they are competing in Barcelona and America.
